What is a resume score?
A resume score is a 0-100 measurement of how well your resume passes Applicant Tracking System (ATS) screening — based on parsing accuracy, section recognition, keyword coverage, and formatting hygiene. It's the closest proxy for 'will recruiters actually find me?'
What's considered a good resume score?
80+ is safe for most jobs. 85+ is ideal for high-volume employers like Amazon, TCS, Accenture, Infosys where automated filters are aggressive. 70-79 is borderline — you'll get some callbacks but lose many to keyword gaps. Below 70 means you're getting silently rejected.
How is the resume score calculated?
Four weighted dimensions: Parsing rate (40%) — can the ATS read your sections? Section recognition (20%) — are your headers standard? Keyword coverage (25%) — do you have the right industry terms? Formatting hygiene (15%) — no tables, columns, images, header-footer issues.
Is the resume score checker free?

Why is my resume score low even though I have great experience?
Three common reasons: (1) Formatting — tables, columns, or images that the ATS can't parse. (2) Wrong section headers — 'My Journey' instead of 'Work Experience'. (3) Missing JD keywords — the ATS searches for literal matches, so 'K8s' and 'Kubernetes' are different. Experience matters less than parseability for the initial filter.
Will my resume score be different on different ATS systems?
Slightly. Our score blends 13+ ATS into a single number, but if you want per-ATS detail you'll see it in the breakdown. A resume that scores 88 on Workday might score 79 on Naukri's RChilli because of different keyword libraries.
How quickly can I improve my resume score?
