Is this ATS score checker really free?
Yes. Free forever. No signup, no email, no credit card, no UPI. The fixes aren't paywalled either — every score includes a complete line-by-line breakdown of what to change. We monetize the resume builder, not the checker.
Why is your ATS checker free when Jobscan charges $49.95/month?
Different business models. Jobscan is a standalone scoring SaaS, so the score IS the product. We're a full job-search platform — the ATS check is the on-ramp. Free is good business for us because it's how candidates discover ResumeGyani.
What's the catch?
No catch. You score your resume as many times as you want, for free. We hope you'll like the platform enough to upgrade to Pro (₹199 / $19.99 onwards) for the JD Builder, AI Resume Agent, and unlimited downloads — but you're never forced to.
Will I have to sign up to see my score?
No. The score appears right after you upload — no signup wall, no email gate. You can sign up later if you want to save your scans, but it's optional.
Do I need to pay for the recommendations?
No. Every score comes with a complete fix-it guide — missing keywords, parsing errors, formatting issues, header renames. The Pro tier adds one-click AI rewrites if you want the work done for you, but the recommendations themselves are free.
How accurate is a free ATS checker compared to paid tools?
Same parsing libraries, same logic. The score you get here is the score a paid tool would give. The reason paid tools charge is for unlimited scans + their dashboard — our free version simply doesn't gate those.
Can I check my resume against a specific job description for free?
Yes. Paste the JD into the checker and we'll do JD-specific keyword matching — also free. No 'unlock JD scoring' upsell.
How many free scans do I get?

What's the score scale?
Out of 100. 80+ is safe for most roles, 85+ for high-volume employers (TCS, Amazon, Accenture). Below 70 means you have parsing errors or keyword gaps that are silently killing applications.
