1. Two-column layouts

What's a good ATS score?
80 and above is safe for most enterprise ATS. 85+ is ideal for high-volume recruiters (TCS, Infosys, Amazon, Accenture). Below 70 means you have parsing errors or missing keywords that are silently killing your applications. Aim for 85+ before you hit Apply.

How is the ATS score calculated?
Four weighted dimensions: (1) Parsing rate — can the parser cleanly extract every section? (2) Section recognition — are headers standard (Work Experience, Education, Skills)? (3) Keyword coverage — does your resume contain the right industry terms? (4) Formatting hygiene — tables, columns, images, fancy fonts, header/footer text. Each error deducts points.
Why is my resume getting rejected even though I'm qualified?

How often should I re-check my resume?
Every time you apply to a new role with a different job description. ATS keyword matching is JD-specific — a resume that scores 88 for a Backend Engineer role might score 62 for a Site Reliability Engineer role at the same company. Re-check before every application.
What if I'm getting interviews but want to apply to better companies?
