What is a resume grader?
A resume grader assigns your resume a letter grade — A+, A, B+, B, C+, C, D, F — based on parsing accuracy, keyword coverage, formatting, and content quality. It's the easy-to-understand version of a 100-point ATS score.
How is the grader different from an ATS checker?
Same underlying analysis, different output format. The ATS checker gives you a numeric score (e.g., 78/100). The grader gives you a letter (B). Some people prefer letters because they're easier to interpret at a glance — 'is my resume an A or a D?'
What letter grade should I aim for?
A or A+ for high-volume employers (Amazon, TCS, Accenture, Google). B+ or A for most roles. B or below means you have fixable issues that are silently killing your applications.
How is my letter grade calculated?
It's a bucketing of your 100-point score: A+ (95-100), A (90-94), A- (85-89), B+ (80-84), B (75-79), B- (70-74), C+ (65-69), C (60-64), C- (55-59), D (50-54), F (below 50). Plus separate sub-grades for parsing, keywords, formatting, and content.
