How is this different from /jd-match?
Same underlying tool, slightly different framing. /jd-match is the short-URL landing. This page is the longer-form tool page with deeper guidance on how to use JD matching effectively.
What does the tool measure?
Four things: (1) Keyword coverage — what % of JD keywords are in your resume? (2) Skills match — required vs. nice-to-have skills you have. (3) Experience alignment — years and seniority match? (4) Section gaps — are there JD requirements your resume doesn't address at all?
Why is literal keyword matching so important?
Because ATS systems don't understand synonyms. Workday, Greenhouse, Lever — all do literal string matching. 'Kubernetes' and 'K8s' are different to them. 'Stakeholder management' and 'client relations' are different. Matching surfaces the exact phrases you need.
Will this work for non-tech roles?
Yes. We tested across tech, sales, marketing, finance, healthcare, consulting, government, education, creative — works for any role where a JD exists.
Can I save matches for multiple JDs?
