What's the difference between a CV and resume in India?
Both terms are used interchangeably in India. CV tends to be longer (2 pages, more detail) and is more common in academic, government, and senior roles. Resume is shorter (1-2 pages, concise) and more common in IT, startups, and lateral hiring. Our checker scores both formats appropriately.

What's a good CV score for Indian MNCs?
85+ for TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Accenture, HCL (mass recruiters with strict ATS). 80+ is safe for most other Indian employers. Below 70 means you're getting filtered out before recruiters see you.
Should my Indian CV have a photo?
Conventional yes — most Indian recruiters expect a small passport-style photo in the header. Critical: never put name/email/phone near or over the photo — RChilli often crops photo regions and loses adjacent text.
How long should an Indian CV be?
Freshers: 1 page. 2-5 years experience: 1-2 pages. 5-15 years: 2 pages. 15+ years/leadership: 2-3 pages. Government and academic CVs can go 3-4 pages. The checker doesn't penalize for length — only for parsing issues.
Does the checker work for fresher CVs?
Yes. Fresher scoring weights Education (50%), Skills (20%), Projects (20%), Internships (10%). Strong project content can score 85+ even without full-time experience.
What about senior leadership CVs?
