Step-by-Step: Build Your Reddit Resume
Follow these 5 steps to create a resume that passes Reddit's Reddit Careers and impresses hiring managers.
Choose an ATS-friendly template
Use a single-column, clean layout. Reddit Careers cannot parse multi-column designs, graphics, or icons. Our builder's templates are pre-tested with Reddit Careers.
Add Reddit-specific keywords
Study the job description carefully. Include exact keywords like "Software Engineer", specific technologies mentioned, and Reddit's own terminology. ATS matches keywords literally.
Write quantified achievement bullets
Don't just list duties. Write: "Increased revenue by 25% through..." or "Reduced processing time by 40% using..." Numbers make your resume stand out to both ATS and human reviewers.
Optimize for the specific role
Tailor your resume for each Reddit position. Reorder your skills section to match the JD priority. Put the most relevant experience first.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the best resume format for Reddit?
Reddit screens applications through an applicant tracking system, so use a clean, single-column, reverse-chronological resume with standard headings (Summary, Experience, Skills, Education). Avoid tables, columns, graphics and headshots so the ATS parses every line.
How long should a Reddit resume be?
Keep it to 1 page — the US/global standard for nearly all candidates. Only use 2 pages with 10+ years of directly relevant experience.
What should I highlight on a Reddit resume?
Lead every bullet with an action verb and a quantified result, and mirror the exact keywords from the Reddit job posting. Recruiters scan for measurable impact in seconds — cut anything generic.
